ZIK OF AFRICA - Documentary

The history of Africa’s liberation – the fight for her independence from colonial imperialism – which led to Ghana being the first country to secure independence and Nigeria to South Africa being the last to gain independence from apartheid, cannot be told without the input and leadership of Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.

In this documentary – ZIK OF AFRICA – which tells the story of Zik’s life and times; his struggles, his leadership across the African continent is explored; and his legacies demonstrated.

The story of Nigeria’s first president had not been better explored or told.

From his humble beginnings, Nnamdi Azikiwe dreamt of a free and independent Africa where the people of Africa take pride in their race, mentally liberated, have financial independence and above all the unity, robust and a thriving Africa.

To achieve these, he towed the path of education and peace rather than war which made him pursue peace through negotiations during the Nigeria – Biafra civil war.
